Renovation of a wooden terrace in Saint-Tropez

Our painting company came to Saint-Tropez to renovate a wooden terrace whose original stain had started to blister.

Mechanical stripping and intensive sanding

To restore a healthy base, we first stripped the stain.

In some places the film had started to peel off, causing unevenness and dull areas on the terrace.

So we used a high-performance sander to even out the surface, as if it were sandblasting.

This step, carried out meticulously, made it possible to remove all traces of degraded stain and reveal the natural beauty of the wood.

The advantages of the saturator

Unlike a film-forming stain, the saturator penetrates deep into the wood without forming a layer that could flake off over time.

We chose it for its waterproofing action, which effectively protects against humidity and bad weather, while maintaining the appearance of matt and authentic wood.

Thanks to this solution, future maintenance of the terrace will be simplified, since a simple cleaning and a new layer of saturator will be enough to restore the wood's shine.

A durable and aesthetic finish

After applying the saturator, the terrace regained a warm and natural appearance, ideal for enjoying the sunny climate of Saint-Tropez.

We also took care to preserve the original color of the wood to remain in harmony with the rest of the home.
